HaleNET ADSL Terms and Conditions.

Customer Conditions
  • In order to be able to apply for a HaleNET ADSL account the applicant must be at least 18 years of ages.
  • Children under 18 years of age who use the service are assumed to have parent or a guardians consent.
  • The service must not be used to send unwanted or spam email. Failure to observe the anti spam conditions will result in the immediate disconnection of the service and the customer will be liable for all contracted monthly payments to the end of the contract period, plus any other costs associated with the incident investigation.
  • The service must not be used to perform any activity that is unlawful, abusive, obscene or that may break any law.
  • HaleNET does not guarantees whatsoever as to the suitability of material able to be accessed through the Internet and recommends that parents who have concerns in relation to the Internet content being viewed by their children provide supervision or acquire filtering software.
  • The customer is responsible providing and maintaining all of all equipment and software necessary to access the service.
  • The customer acknowledges that they will be liable for additional charges for excess Internet usage.
  • Upon signing this application, you agree to the of unpaid accounts will be sent to Bay Corp Advantage and the debt will go on the customers Credit Record. (Privacy Act 1988)

    The customer acknowledges that:

  • Continuity and connection speed of their Internet access depends on a wide range of factors, many of which are beyond the control of HaleNET
  • HaleNET has no control over the accuracy or appropriateness of any information on the Internet
  • HaleNET is not responsible for any software available on the Internet.
  • The customers Internet access may be interrupted by a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, equipment failure, the need for routine maintenance and peak demand.
  • The customer indemnifies HaleNET against any liability, claim, action, suit, demand, loss, cost or expense whatsoever arising out of or in any way connected with this agreement or Internet access.
  • The customer, and not HaleNET, is liable for any telephone service charges incurred in respect of any telephone line used by the customer to dial up to HaleNET's equipment.
  • HaleNET may terminate the customers Internet access immediately if the customer breaches this agreement or the rules, or fails to promptly pay any money owed to HaleNET.
  • HaleNET reserves the right to change any or all of these terms and conditions. Any changes will be made available on the HaleNET home page. All amendments to the terms and conditions are effective to all customers within seven days.
  • The customer must undertake to pay all accounts on time. All ADSL accounts are to be paid in advance, and customers must supply a valid credit card and authorise HaleNET to take any funds from it to cover the customers account.

    Contract Term

  • There is a minimum 6 month contract term on all HaleNET ASDL accounts. If a customer wishes to disconnect the ADSL service prior to the end of the 6 month perios then a disconnection fee of $100.00 will apply.

    Fair Use policy on Uncapped Account Plans

  • In order to provide a quality service HaleNET notifies all customers that there are caps on unlimited plans at which time the service speed will be slowed to 64K for the remainder of the month. The month begins on the day the service is commissioned.
